Recommended uses: Dilute 100ml of concentrate with water to fill a 500mL spray bottle to clean surfaces (shake before use); or a splash to mop water. Always test surface integrity and don't forget to rinse or wipe surface after application. Keep out of reach of children. 250mL concentrate makes 1.25L surface spray.

Clove Bud

The long-lived evergreen Clove tree has been cultivated in plantations for more than 2000 years and appears in historical documents of the French, Portuguese, Greeks, Romans and Chinese. Tinderbox Clove Bud essential oil is steam distilled from clove flower buds in Madagascar.

Perfume: Strong and penetrating. It has fresh, fruity top notes and deep, sweet, spicy undertones.

Blends well with: most citruses, florals including rose, clary-sage, sandalwood, ylang ylang.

Citrus limonum

The ancient Egyptians used lemon as an antidote to food poisoning. This radiant essential oil is versatile around the home for cleaning and purifying and features a quintessentially energising, uplifting citrus scent that detoxes and cleans the body of impurities.

Aroma: Top Note

Perfume: Light, tangy and true lemon. Like fresh lemon rind except richer and more concentrated.

Blends well with: lavender, rose, sandalwood, benzoin, ginger, eucalyptus, geranium, fennel, juniper, neroli and tea tree.

Backhousia citriodora

Native to south-east Queensland, this Australian grown and processed essential oil has a fresh-smelling aroma with a complex lemon scent that gives way to a smoky bush flavour. Lemon myrtle contains the highest natural source of citral and need only be used sparingly in moisturisers, shampoos, cleaners, insect repellents and culinary blends.

Aroma: A strong top note. Use sparingly to avoid overpowering.  Universally pleasant.

Perfume: Clean, sweet and uplifting yet complex lemon scent that is rich and smooth.

Blends well with: woods, spices and florals. Try cedarwood atlantica, geranium bourbon, ylang ylang, cinnamon, pimento or myrrh. Works well with Australian woods such as eucalyptus, niaouli, sandalwood and tea tree. Not suited with other citrus oils.

Indications: disinfectant, antibacterial, antifungal, antiviral, anti-inflammatory, anti-infectious, soothes hypertension. Anti-depressive, sedative, improves concentration, deodorising, flea repellent.

Precautions: high in citral, a strong sensitiser. Avoid use on broken skin. Avoid use during pregnancy. Maximum dilution for topical application 1 per cent. Contraindication for diabetic medications.
