Fusion Iron Advanced 30T
Iron is involved in numerous physiological processes in the body. Most importantly, it maintains energy levels, supports healthy red blood cell production and helps with the formation of haemoglobin.
Iron for energy
Iron is important for maintaining energy levels in the body. It does this through helping with the formation of haemoglobin; a component of red blood cells that transports oxygen around the body so it can be used by the cells to produce energy. Iron also helps the body to make healthy red blood cells.
Who needs more iron?
Women have a greater need for iron than men, and according to the Australian Bureau of Statistics, up to 40% of women and teenage girls aged 14-50 years are not consuming enough iron.1 Other people who may need more iron than others include vegetarians and menstruating women in the days following their period.
Where is iron found?
Iron in your diet can be found in animal-derived foods (red meat, chicken, fish, eggs), green vegetables (broccoli, spinach), nuts, seeds, lentils, beans and grains (whole wheat, brown rice). You might benefit from taking an additional iron supplement to prevent iron deficiency if you aren’t consuming these foods in sufficient quantities.
Gentle on the stomach, absorbable iron
Fusion Iron Advanced contains iron glycinate (also known as iron bisglycinate or iron (II) glycinate), which is more readily absorbed than some other forms of iron, such as iron sulfate. It also includes vitamin C, which helps increase the absorption of dietary iron.
Iron glycinate is gentle on the digestive system and is a generally well-tolerated form of iron.

Fusion Menopause Heat Relief 60VC
Women usually experience menopause between the ages of 45-55.
As the ovaries age, they produce fewer hormones related to menstruation and eggs are released less frequently, eventually resulting in the end of periods and a woman’s reproductive years.1
Although menopause can cause a vast number of different symptoms, some of the more common are hot flushes, night sweats and vaginal dryness.
Traditional Chinese medicine and menopause
From the perspective of TCM, menopausal symptoms are often characterised by an excess of heat (as occurs in hot flushes and night sweats) and/or dryness (for example as it affects the vaginal tissue), suggesting an underlying deficiency of kidney Yin (female energy) all of which can be relieved with herbs such as anemarrhena and dong quai according to traditional use in TCM.2
According to TCM, the kidney is responsible for reproduction and menstruation, as well as the transition between life stages including into menopause. By supporting healthy kidney Yin, with a herb like anemarrhena, hot flushes, night sweats and vaginal dryness can be reduced.3
Relief for hot flushes
Dong quai is one of the primary herbs in Menopause Heat Relief and is traditionally used in TCM to reduce menopausal symptoms such as hot flushes.
In TCM, anemarrhena is regarded as have cooling properties with the ability to clear heat, while at the same time moistening the body’s tissues. This reflects its traditional use for the relief of menopausal hot flushes, night sweats and vaginal dryness in TCM.
Relieve menopausal symptoms
Menopause Heat Relief also contains vitex for its traditional use in Western herbal medicine to decrease menopausal symptoms and maintain healthy reproductive hormones.
Plus, more traditional Chinese herbs
Menopause Heat Relief also contains pueraria (kudzu), standardised to include 35mg of isoflavones (phytoestrogens) per vegetable capsule - plus horny goat weed, phellodendron and morinda.
Also consider Fusion Menopause
Fusion Menopause Heat Relief is most suitable for women whose symptoms are predominantly indicative of kidney Yin deficiency (e.g. hot flushes, night sweats and vaginal dryness) as relieved by anemarrhena in traditional Chinese medicine.
If you have other menopausal symptoms, consider Fusion Menopause. It contains black cohosh, which is traditionally used to relieve menopausal symptoms including disturbed sleep, irritability, mood swings and mild joint aches and pains in Western herbal medicine.

Fusion Womens Balance 30T
Fusion Health Women’s Balance features dong quai and cyperus, which are traditionally used to balance a healthy menstrual cycle and relieve menstrual pain in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). Dong quai is also traditionally used to relieve symptoms of premenstrual tension (PMT) in TCM, as is bupleurum.
Traditional Chinese medicine and balance for women
Traditional Chinese herbalists regard the physiological changes that occur in a woman’s body each month as being governed by the healthy circulation of blood and Qi(life force) throughout the body.
According to this philosophy, women become predisposed to menstrual irregularities, PMT symptoms and/or period pain when the flow of blood or Qi is disrupted.
In TCM, menstrual cycle regularity can be supported by replenishing the blood in the first half of the menstrual cycle. In the second half of the cycle, moving liver blood and Qi can help relieve PMT symptoms.
Dong quai and cyperus: traditionally used to regulate a healthy menstrual cycle in Chinese medicine
Fusion Women’s Balance contains dong quai, which is traditionally used to nourish the blood, and restore balance to the menstrual cycle. It also contains peony, which is traditionally used to strengthen liver blood in TCM.
This formula also combines the Chinese herbs bupleurum, cyperus and peony, which are all traditionally used in TCM to relieve irregular periods.
Cyperus and dong quai: traditionally taken to ease period pain in TCM
Dong quai is also traditionally taken in TCM to relieve period pain and replenish the blood.
In Chinese medicine, both cyperus and peony are also traditionally used to reduce menstrual pain, while Chinese licorice is traditionally taken to relieve pain and spasms.
Cyperus: traditional Chinese medicine relief for PMT symptoms
In TCM, the liver meridian regulates the flow of Qi. PMT symptoms can occur if the flow of liver Qi is disrupted.
Cyperus is traditionally used in TCM to regulate the flow of liver Qi, relieving symptoms of PMT including breast tenderness associated with liver Qi stagnation. In Chinese medicine, dong quai and bupleurum are also traditionally taken to relieve PMT symptoms.
Cyperus is also considered to be a helpful herb for PMT symptoms in Indian (Ayurvedic medicine), where it’s traditionally taken to relieve irritability associated with PMT.
